Brian Peeters - Brian Peeters is the former Probiotic Product Manager for Jarrow Formulas, a leading supplier of dietary supplements and functional foods. Brian obtained his B.Sc. in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences from Truman State University in 1998 and then moved to San Francisco, CA, where he currently resides with his wife and daughter. Brian is also the Founding Executive Director of the International Probiotics Association (IPA), which is a non-profit organization that was founded by Jarrow Formulas in 2005 in order to bring together probiotic industry members, academia, and scientific researchers to develop quality standards for probiotic products and to educate healthcare professionals and consumers on the documented health benefits of probiotic supplements and functional food. Prior to his work at Jarrow Formulas and IPA, Brian worked for 3 years at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as an outside sales representative in the San Francisco Bay Area. His responsibilities included sales and marketing of Actos, Takeda’s insulin-sensitizing drug for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. He also worked 3 years as the National Sales Manager for Nature Sweet Inc., selling the Lo Han fruit concentrate flavor enhancer to food, beverage, and nutritional supplement manufacturers.
